Biography

I am a freelance photographer and filmmaker, based in Devon in South West England, after working for the past 10 years near Toulouse in France.

Panos Pictures in London represent my photo archive and my work has appeared in The New York Times, Time Magazine, Sunday Times, Guardian, Independent, Focus, Geographical, Geo, Liberation, Mail on Sunday and many others. My corporate clients include BP, Rockwell Collins, Visa, Intermec and I also now shoot weddings.

I started out in the early 1990's working as a lighting cameraman in London. My career highlight was probably shooting an interview with Kermit the Frog, but I have also shot World Cup Skiing, a documentary about mountaineer Alison Hargreaves and over 20 documentaries for UNTV in the former Yugoslavia. These films were aired on BBC and CNN and now make up part of the archive in the Imperial War Museum. I still make films and my most recent documentary film project was for the
BBC Inside Out series and I have also recently completed a film for Wild Dog is about the River Nile, that was screened on NHK Japan and the Guardian Film channel.

I am now also offering web design and hosting and there is information about these services on my
web design pages.

Thanks for looking and enjoy!
